Bring Some STEAM into Your Library with Makerspaces

Webinar presented for the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME) on September 16, 2015

Makerspaces are an amazing way to bring STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics), creativity and informal learning into your library, but with so much information out there, many media specialists aren’t sure of where to get started. In this webinar, you will get ideas and inspiration on how to bring the Maker Education Movement into your library program. Topics covered will include: cultivating a Maker culture, getting student input, finding space, securing funds and donations, gathering supplies, logistics of running a space, and sharing with others.
